PHYGITAL FX officially opened its Yonkers, NY warehouse in September 2023. The 110,000 SF building is a key space for PHYGITAL FX’s operations, as it lies adjacent to the company’s headquarters. The warehouse contains over 25,000 pieces of production equipment, and its inventory list increases daily.
From lighting, rigging, and audio to electrical, cameras, and LED screens, PHYGITAL FX’s newest site caters mostly to the growing film and television industry in the area, which is nicknamed “Hollywood on the Hudson.” It’s part of a multi-campus production facility owned by Great Point Studios. The anchor tenant is Lionsgate, a major entertainment company and studio. The location is also just 30 minutes away from New York City, where 80 episodic television series and 300 feature films were shot in 2019.
The warehouse is a conversion of part of the historic factory buildings of Otis Elevator, once a major local employer in Yonkers. Eight employees have been hired already, in roles like management, purchasing, drivers, and logistics, and as PHYGITAL FX’s operations continue to expand, it’s anticipated dozens more jobs will become available.
Plans are also underway for more PHYGITAL FX warehouses across the country — including Atlanta, Newark, and Los Angeles — to serve the company’s vast clientele.
